In the role of guardian administrator, you will work to ensure legal security and ensure that people who need support have their rights fulfilled.

The legislation in the guardian area is changing, and we are facing a change of operating system. To meet future needs, we are now looking for two new guardian administrators. We are a workgroup with broad competence and different experiences. We look forward to welcoming you who fit in with us and want to contribute with your knowledge, engagement, and new perspectives.

The Guardians of Western Skaraborg is a collaboration for the guardian operations in Essunga, Grästorp, Götene, Lidköping, Vara, Skara, and Karlsborg municipalities. The host municipality is Lidköping Municipality, where the operation is also located.

Job responsibilities

The work includes supervision and processing of cases concerning guardians, curators, and custodians according to the Parental Code, as well as guardians for unaccompanied children.

The tasks are varied and include, among other things, the following:

  • Independently responsible for supervising representatives according to the Parental Code.
  • Process cases according to the Parental Code, Administrative Law, and other regulations. This may involve, for example, preparing statements to the court, investigative work, handling appeals, and, if necessary, representing the guardian in court.
  • Decide on fees for representatives and review accounting documents/annual accounts.
  • Processing cases concerning guardianship for unaccompanied children.
  • In addition to the above tasks, the work also involves ongoing contacts with authorities, operational managers within healthcare, social services, relatives, etc. You will also be responsible for recruitment and training and support for guardians and representatives.

Who are you?

We are now looking for someone interested in authority exercise, law, and economics who thrives in a role with both independent responsibility and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • University education in law, economics, social work, or another relevant field.
  • Good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing.
  • Ability to work structured, accurately, and legally secure.

It is an advantage if you have a legal education and a strong interest in family law. It is also advantageous if you have experience in:

  • both case processing and economics.
  • case processing in guardian operations.
  • reviewing annual accounts.
  • financial work, for example, in a bank or accounting firm.
  • authority exercise within municipal administration.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone with high integrity and a professional approach. You enjoy meeting people and have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently. You have the ability to make decisions that you can communicate clearly and respectfully through your good communication skills. Structure and accuracy are also important qualities. You contribute to a positive work environment and are happy to share ideas and suggestions for improvement.

Conditions

The employment is a permanent full-time position. Start date is according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible. As part of the recruitment process, personality and capacity tests will be conducted. Before employment, a financial background check will also be performed.
