Mother Tongue Teacher in Finnish

Are you an engaged and knowledgeable educator who wants to make a difference for students whose mother tongue is Finnish? We are now looking for a mother tongue teacher in Finnish for our primary schools in the municipality.

You will belong to Mockfjärd School, which is a safe, inclusive workplace where qualified and engaged colleagues collaborate closely with student health. Responsibilities

As a mother tongue teacher in Finnish, you will teach students in grades F–9 at several schools in the municipality, making the work varied and independent. At the same time, you will be part of a work team and various development groups.

The work includes, among other things:

• planning and conducting teaching based on the curriculum for mother tongue
• making assessments and assigning grades
• collaborating with colleagues, mentors, and student health teams
• using pedagogical documentation as a tool for development
• contributing to inclusive learning environments where digital tools are a natural part of teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an engaged and certified teacher with very good knowledge of both Finnish and Swedish, in both spoken and written form. You are passionate about language and culture and have experience in mother tongue teaching and study guidance. With your understanding of children's and young people's knowledge development, you can meet students at their level and inspire them to reach their full potential.

As a person, you are flexible, relationship-building, and collaborative. You enjoy working closely with students, colleagues, and guardians, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and developing learning environment. If you also have knowledge of NPF, we see it as an asset in the work.

You are accustomed to working with digital learning platforms and have good IT skills. Using digital tools as a natural part of teaching is a given for you, and experience with Office/Teams is an advantage.

Since teaching takes place at several schools within the municipality, a B driver's license and access to your own car are required.

Conditions

Fixed-term employment with immediate start or according to agreement. A valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented before employment.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.
