Substitute Teacher for the Construction and Civil Engineering Program at Hushagsgymnasiet

Hushagsgymnasiet is a high school with six different vocational programs: the Electrical and Energy Program, the Vehicle and Transport Program, the Industrial Program, the Construction and Civil Engineering Program, the Restaurant and Food Program, and the HVAC and Property Program. The programs share many teachers and are spread across two different buildings. This position is primarily located at Hushagsgymnasiet.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Construction and Civil Engineering Program at Hushagsgymnasiet, one teacher will be on parental leave, so we are now looking for a substitute.

We are looking for a driven employee who will have great opportunities to develop the program as a whole and the S-vocational direction in particular. You will conduct teaching, planning, and manage relevant tasks associated with a vocational teacher position in the Construction and Civil Engineering Program with a focus on S-professions, primarily in the first year. We want you to have a big heart for the S-profession industry and natural contacts with it. The assignment also includes mentorship and teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant vocational skills in an S-profession, such as flooring installer, and experience in the industry. You have solid knowledge of work environment and safety and good industry contacts.

As we strive for high quality in education, a teaching degree and vocational qualification in an S-profession is a requirement. A B driver's license is also required due to possible APL visits and/or study visits.

It is advantageous if you have taught at the upper secondary level and have current experience from the industry.

You need to be relationship-building and cooperative in your contacts with students, guardians, colleagues, and the industry. You should be planning and initiative-taking but also adaptable and flexible in new situations while seeing the whole and solving existing problems flexibly. You have an easy time communicating both verbally and in writing with students, guardians, and other stakeholders.
