Temporary Position as Educator in Leksand Municipality

We are currently seeking new employees for temporary positions in our preschools in Leksand Municipality, pending necessary decisions.

Your Responsibilities

As an educator, you are part of the preschool team, primarily consisting of preschool teachers and childcare workers. Using the curriculum as a foundation, you create a safe, fun, and educational environment for our children. The assignment is carried out in a group of children, while ensuring that each child receives challenges that suit their experiences and knowledge. You work daily to challenge the children's learning and development in the teaching planned based on the curriculum assignment. You also have parent contacts and are involved in the pedagogical documentation.

There are two vacant full-time positions on temporary contracts that extend until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Your Profile

• We are looking for someone with previous experience in educational work.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language.

As a person, you have the ability to be part of the development and take clear responsibility in your work, and you easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are someone who creates joy, safety, and calm, both in the team and in the group of children. You have an interest in creating clear educational environments and understand the importance of making materials in the environment accessible and fostering curiosity in the child. You are also a team player who works well with your surroundings, shows judgment in your statements, and understands your role while considering the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and decisions.

About the Workplace

Leksand Municipality has eight preschools spread from Tällberg in the north to Djura in the south. A total of about 80 educators work in our preschools to promote all children's development and learning, as well as to lay the foundation for a lifelong desire to learn. The preschool operations also include a special educator, an administrator, three principals, and a department head. There is also collaboration with primary and secondary schools, which benefits the quality of education and connects the municipality's various school forms.
