Skogsbo School is a F-6 school with approximately 480 students. The school is located just outside central Avesta. At our school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by providing a safe learning environment and high-quality teaching, both in school and in the after-school program. We are a partner school with Dalarna University, which means we host student teachers every semester, contributing to our scientific foundation and the development of our operations.

All teaching at the school should be permeated by our three guiding principles: learning, safety, together, to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their conditions.

Job Description

We are looking for substitute teachers who can teach classes when the regular teacher is absent. As a substitute teacher, you are responsible for conducting teaching in preschool class - grade 6. During periods of longer absence of the regular teacher, some responsibility may exist regarding planning and follow-up of teaching individually and in collaboration with teachers in the work team. You are responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant actors to create a safe and developing environment for the students. You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Other tasks that may occur include: • Playground supervision • Educational lunches

Qualifications

We are looking for a secure adult with good leadership skills. You need to have a teaching degree and a good pedagogical insight. As a substitute teacher, you need to possess a good ability to express yourself in Swedish in writing and speech. You should be skilled at building relationships and have good collaboration skills. Experience in teaching and working in a team, as well as knowledge of Office programs, is an advantage.
