JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Special educators in Malung-Sälen municipality belong to the Central Student Health. The entire team consists of special pedagogical, psychosocial, speech therapy, psychological, and medical competencies. Our work area covers everything from preschool to high school. Our work takes place at both local and central levels, within the professional team and largely in a cross-professional manner.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Contribute special pedagogical expertise as support in the educational work and in the overall planning of student health work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
• Contribute special pedagogical expertise in systematic quality work.
• Provide knowledge and information about various functional variations and their significance for learning, alternative learning tools, and aids.
• Provide guidance and consultation to educational staff and participate in competence development and training initiatives at local and central levels.
• At the request of the principal, participate in educational assessments/investigations prior to decisions on special support or conduct assessments prior to decisions on admission to adapted primary or high school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained special educator and is a qualified teacher in primary or special primary education. We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as good communication skills, the ability to maintain a solution-focused perspective, good collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently and with high quality.

We are looking for someone who has a driver's license and access to a car as travel in the service occurs daily.
