Gylle School is Dalarna's largest primary school, a F–9 unit with approximately 900 students. The school is located just south of Borlänge city center with good transportation links and a wide catchment area that creates diversity and rich opportunities for learning.

Since April 2025, Gylle School F–6 has fully completed new, modern, and well-equipped learning environments – including a gymnasium and cafeteria – designed to support varied and future-oriented teaching. Together with our dedicated and qualified staff, organized into strong grade teams, these facilities create a successful recipe where professionalism, student focus, and good structures meet.

Approximately 80 employees work in various roles at the F–6 unit, all contributing to a safe and learning environment. We are in an exciting development phase focused on strengthening students' digital skills while maintaining our profile as a reading school to increase goal fulfillment in all subjects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable special education teacher who wants to be an important part of our student health work and contribute to a school where all students are given the best possible conditions to succeed.

As a special education teacher at Gylle School F-6, you will be responsible for conducting pedagogical assessments and investigations as well as designing, documenting, and following up on action plans. You will work closely with students in need of special support through early interventions, adaptations, and a health-promoting and preventive approach.

You will collaborate with teachers to develop inclusive and accessible learning environments and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development work. You will guide and provide consultation to staff on special education issues and be a central part of the student health team's work.

Your role also includes coordinating efforts between teachers, student health, and guardians, ensuring good transitions during grade changes and the reception of new students, as well as following up and developing the school's learning environments. You will drive internal professional development and be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating preventive and health-promoting initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

  • Primary school teacher degree and special education degree.
  • Experience in guidance, pedagogical assessments, and cross-professional student health work.
  • Very good oral and written skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English.
  • Driving license B

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Special education supplementary courses.
  • Knowledge of other languages.

In connection with the interview, you as a candidate need to provide proof of citizenship in Sweden/EU/EES or a valid work permit.
