Do you have a pedagogical education and want to work with youth? Youth Recreation is now looking for an Educator/Residential Assistant who can truly make a difference. We warmly welcome your application!

Youth Recreation consists of five recreational activities and weekend activities that receive children and young people aged 13–21 who have been granted assistance under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). We work based on the individual support needs of the child. This requires flexibility to meet these youths and accommodate their unique support needs. The work is very varied as we often receive new young people. In Youth Recreation, there may be challenging behaviors, which requires us to have good pedagogical skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

This is a role where things happen all the time, and where you will have the opportunity to work both administratively and with our youth. You will work in a very nice and well-functioning operation with close collaboration with colleagues, supervisors, and other partners. Since the operation is very varied, there are good opportunities for development.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves collaboration with, for example, caseworkers, habilitation, schools, and other actors who are important for the youth. You will also need to ensure that orders regarding, for example, food are made systematically, together with those responsible for orders. Finally, a prerequisite for succeeding in the role is a good ability to structure your work and create and maintain relationships with colleagues, youth, relatives, and caseworkers.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role, you need to have a pedagogical education, such as Support Educator or Preschool Teacher. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with at least two years of work experience with youth in need of various support measures. Experience in care, such as in the LSS area, is considered an advantage.

As a person, we see that you are structured and can plan and prioritize your work. You can take initiative and drive parts of this independently. Finally, you will have a broad internal network and therefore collaborate with several different parties simultaneously.

Inquiries

If you have questions about the position or the recruitment process, please contact: Emil Eklund, Operations Manager, 018-726 38 63. Akademikerförbundet SSR/saco, Camilla Ahlsén Hoff, 018-727 24 34.

We will request an extract from the criminal record before an employment offer can be made.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
