About the Workplace

Lunaskolan is an adapted primary school located centrally in Håbo municipality, with approximately 35 students following the curriculum subjects/subject areas.

The school is characterized by relational work where accessible learning is the focus. This means that all students should be given access to and the opportunity to participate in learning and community throughout the learning environment and develop based on their own conditions. Together with the student, guardians, and the school's collective student health, we work to create conditions for accessible learning and a student-adapted environment.

Your Responsibilities

You will work as a teaching assistant during school hours and leisure time, which means you will follow students throughout their day, including assisting in the water during swimming lessons, helping with personal hygiene, and during meal situations, etc.

Students with challenging behavior are present in the operation, and your responsibilities include meeting these students.

As a teaching assistant at Lunaskolan, it is important that you serve as a role model for the students, are active in all activities, and follow set goals in the operation. You are expected to take your own initiatives and have good communication with staff and students.

Qualifications

Pedagogical and/or healthcare education and experience with LSS are meritorious. Knowledge of visual support, sign language support, and low-arousal responses are also meritorious. You must be at least 18 years old and have completed upper secondary education. We prefer that you have experience working with children and adolescents with various types of disabilities.
