About the job
We are looking for a senior investigator with experience in qualified investigative assignments, preferably in a government agency. The investigations should lead to the basis for the development of the road traffic register, as well as for the management of taxes and fees. You need to have several years of experience in methodically driving and leading various investigative assignments.
You need to be self-driven and responsible, as well as capable of delivering results with good quality within given timeframes. To achieve results, you must have the ability to initiate and also lead collaborations, as well as maintain good dialogue and communication with many different specialists in our areas of expertise.
You will also work on coordinating responses to referrals, coordinating and participating in regulatory work, and supporting the department in questions within your area.
The position is located in the unit Staben, department Vehicle Information. Staben provides support to other operations within the department with both general and specific expertise and is to some extent to steer, support, coordinate, and follow up the department's operations. You will
- plan, lead, and carry out various qualified analysis and investigative assignments of varying scope, primarily regarding the development of the road traffic register and the management of taxes and fees, but also within the department's other areas of operation
- coordinate and prepare responses to referrals
- coordinate and prepare regulatory work
- provide knowledge, advice, and support to the operations
- participate in other assignments within the unit's areas.
You must have
- an academic degree in a relevant field for the position, e.g., in law, public administration, or political science
- current and several years of experience in leading qualified investigative assignments, including producing and presenting reports and decision-making materials
- good knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL), and the General Data Protection Regulation
- very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you also have
- experience of working in public operations
- experience of working with regulatory development, e.g., regulatory work
- experience of working with information security
- experience of working with processes, flows, and requirements in IT development
- experience of economic and tax legislation
- experience of working with the Road Traffic Data Act and the Road Traffic Data Regulation.

More information
The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the operation and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent it is possible. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
