Legal Secretariat, Ministry of Employment

Are you looking for a varied job at the center of events? If you are a socially interested lawyer with a qualified legal background, there is now an opportunity to become our new colleague. Together with skilled colleagues, you will work on legislation and other legal issues within several different areas of law. This includes labor law, occupational health and safety, labor market, discrimination, gender equality, and integration.

Your tasks will include drafting legal council memos and bills as well as other legislative work. You will also assist the department leadership and the department's units with quality assurance and advice on legal matters. You may participate in the department's work on EU issues. The work may also involve assisting the head of the department with government matters and other case management. You will collaborate with professional and dedicated colleagues. Your background

We are looking for someone who has a law degree and is a court of appeal or administrative court assessor, or has other experience of qualified legal work that we assess as equivalent. You have current experience in legal work, broad legal competence, and the ability to conduct legal analyses and overview entire areas of law. It is an advantage if you have experience in legislative work, for example from a government investigation or work within the Government Offices. You express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

You need to be a highly skilled lawyer with excellent analytical ability and be able to grasp new subject areas in a short time. You take initiative and work independently, but also have a good ability to collaborate with others and good judgment.

Other

We offer one or more positions. For those who are court of appeal or administrative court assessors, we offer a six-year appointment as a legal expert. If you have a different background, we offer a permanent position with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Primarily, we are looking for employees based in Stockholm.

A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
