The Getingen Health Center is one of Lund's youngest health centers, having started operations in May 2014 without listed patients. Since then, our listing has risen to approximately 6,000 patients today. The operation is staffed by about 20 employees who collaboratively work around our listed patients. The operation is characterized by high medical quality, job satisfaction, and team spirit.

The premises of the operation are located in the Skåne University Hospital area, which provides several unique service offerings such as pneumatic tubes, logistics, and laundry management. There are also good communication options with trams, buses, parking facilities, and bicycle garages. The operation shares premises with the Evening and Weekend Reception when the health center is closed, which has contributed to a good and close collaboration with the staff in this operation.

The Getingen Health Center is the first in Lund to work based on a new basic offering in collaboration with common functions at other health care units. This gives us a unique opportunity to help shape the future of primary care, from structures and routines to working methods and functions. The health center provides good and safe care for our listed patients with the help of specialists in general medicine, ST doctors, district nurses, general nurses, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants.

The operation also runs a nurse-led diabetes clinic, asthma-COPD clinic, and geriatric clinic. We also collaborate with other primary care units, dieticians, and occupational therapists to offer patients individualized care at the right level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you have a central and operational role. You primarily work with patient administration and medical documentation, such as journal writing, referral management, and independent work in 1177. The role also includes some reception staffing and providing administrative support to the operation as a whole.

Thanks to extensive use of speech recognition, there is room for an expanded role with other administrative responsibilities, such as within IT, fire protection, or similar functions. If interested and suitable, there is also the opportunity for assignments as managerial support.

The workgroup currently consists of two medical secretaries and one receptionist, where we are now replacing a colleague who is retiring. You play an important role in ensuring that the everyday operations of the health center run smoothly and contribute to high patient safety, good service, and a positive work climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have completed education in health and medical care administration (80 p KY/400 p YH) or equivalent training as a medical secretary. Additionally, you have good knowledge of Swedish and the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing also in English. Furthermore, it is a prerequisite for the position that you have good knowledge of medical terminology. Experience in primary care and work within Health Choice Skåne is an advantage.
