Description

Daily Activities is looking for someone who has their heart in the right place, is responsible, and has a great commitment to our users and their activities.

We offer you varied tasks in a pleasant workplace alongside competent and experienced colleagues, together with our users. The daily activities are conducted in a riding arena and stable environment, based on each user’s abilities, interests, and needs, with meaningful engagement in focus.

The mission of Daily Activities is to offer users an occupation that is meaningful, stimulating, and developing in community with others. The activities should be based on the user’s needs, conditions, and personal wishes. Daily Activities has assignments under both the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

The position within Daily Activities means that you have a primary placement in one group, but you will also be introduced to more groups to assist during short absences in other groups based on need.

Tasks

The position involves you, in a pedagogical and structured manner, based on the user’s possibilities and conditions, to guide and support users in their activities with the aim of developing their skills and compensating for their difficulties through relevant adjustments.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning and executing activities for our users based on current occupations. The work is planned, documented, and followed up in our documentation system, and the implementation plan forms the basis for quality assurance of the assignment based on the user’s individual needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people and meets each individual based on their needs and wishes. You are confident in yourself and comfortable working with individuals who are in great need of continuity and structure. Furthermore, you need to be very empathetic and able to read individual needs and flexibly adjust your approach and work with the user in their Daily Activities.

In Daily Activities, you will be part of a context where there are high demands for collaboration skills and responsibility, as you need to cooperate both internally and externally. We also want you to be a caring colleague with a positive outlook.

You need to have good physical and mental condition as we strive to be active with our users based on their conditions. You should also be able to handle physically demanding work and enjoy working outdoors year-round.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and specific experience and/or education based on the current group’s activities.

We are looking for someone who either:

• is a Support Assistant
• has completed the Care and Nursing Program
• has completed the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on disabilities
• has other education deemed suitable based on the current activities

A B driver's license is required.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working within LSS activities and/or experience with intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities
• Low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy
• Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
• Knowledge and experience of current activities
• B driver's license

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.
