At BmSS Seatons allé, adults within the LSS target group reside.
We are now looking for more support assistants for our accommodation in Lerum – a residence near Aspen beach and its scenic location, but also close to Lerum's center. The accommodation consists of 6 apartments with shared spaces. The residence has access to a car, which creates flexibility and accessibility for our tenants.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a support assistant, you are a key person in our residents' daily lives. You contribute to creating a safe and meaningful environment focused on the individual's needs and conditions. Your work is based on trusting relationships, a professional and pedagogical approach. You actively work with alternative communication based on our residents' needs.
You collaborate closely with colleagues, support pedagogues, coordinators, and unit managers, as well as cooperate with guardians, authorities, and relatives. You are a support person for one or more residents.
Your main tasks:
- Practical support in daily life: cleaning, shopping, cooking, laundry, and personal hygiene
- Create a meaningful, safe, and stimulating daily life based on each individual's needs
- Implement motivating and compensatory measures and social interaction
- Support participation in society, an active leisure time, and help maintain important contacts
- Be responsible for the assigned representative role
As a support person, you are responsible for:
- Establishing and following up on implementation plans
- Summarizing and evaluating measures and goals regularly together with the user
- Being a continuous contact person for the user's network/relatives
- Ensuring that the workgroup has the correct and updated information, routines, and action plans.
The position involves work during days, evenings, every other weekend, and sleeping on-call according to the schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant education for the position, such as a care program or other education and experience that the employer finds equivalent.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with the target group within LSS and/or within BmSS.
You have good knowledge of documenting in operational systems and you have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish.
It is desirable that you have documented experience of working with clear pedagogical methods, AAC, or similar.
As a person, you are positively inclined towards your assignment, clear in your communication, and a good colleague and team member.
You need to be able to adapt and prioritize work according to the needs of the tenants and the organization.
A driver's license is an advantage.
The position will be filled on the condition that it does not need to be claimed internally.
Desired start date is 2026-03-01 or by agreement.
