Kungälv Municipality is looking for you who want to make a difference!

We need professional and motivated staff to deliver welfare services of high quality. Here, engagement and professional service go hand in hand while you help influence people's everyday lives and society at large. A good workplace culture and support for your personal development are important to us. Your contribution matters!

Description

We are looking for a new colleague! Is it you?

Kungälv is growing, and we are in an exciting transition with the new social services act.

Now the opportunity arises for you to become one of us and be part of our development of the authority's work with children, young people, and their families.

The Security and Support Sector is divided into four operational areas, one of which is individual and family care (IFO). We have an organization based on first and second-line social services. The Children and Youth Unit consists of sixteen investigating social workers, three senior social workers, a social administrator, and a unit manager. We develop our work based on Signs of Safety, Parent at a Distance, and MPV in close collaboration with our nearby units within IFO to provide early and sufficient interventions based on support needs. In the unit, we are preparing to work in a simplified model of 3-phase, for predictability in the flow of cases, but also to be the ones who meet children and parents already in a first meeting at social services when there is a clear need for investigation for support and intervention.

As an investigating social worker in the Children and Youth Unit, you will be part of an engaged group with a very good team spirit, where we thrive and care for each other. Our supervisors contribute with security and stability based on their long experience of working with children and young people as well as within Kungälv Municipality. They provide good support in daily work and have a high degree of availability.

We offer you a meaningful, developing, and varied job in a pleasant workplace with a strong focus on maintaining a light-hearted, respectful, and pleasant climate in our workplace. We have an open office landscape that allows for an open climate and close collaboration both within and between units. We collaborate closely with our receiving unit, second-line family therapists, and placement support, but also with first-line, which has a clear promotional and preventive mission. We apply remote work with 1-2 days a week and the opportunity to a high degree to structure your own work week.

You will receive methodological support, both individually and together with the group, as well as external process guidance. As an employee, you will receive wellness benefits. Competence development is encouraged through, for example, the Professional Journey and training in Violence in Close Relationships.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker in the unit, you will investigate the needs for support and protection of children and young people aged 0-18 and their families, as well as follow up on granted interventions according to SoL, LVU, and LBSB. The position may involve travel with overnight stays and the ability to enter situations where immediate interventions are needed. The role of the investigating social worker also includes collaborating with other authorities and actors, both within and outside the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, as this is a requirement for the position involving authority work concerning children and young people. We want you to have a clear child perspective in your work and see it as self-evident that children should be involved based on their conditions, age, and maturity.

We are looking for someone who can see the opportunities in complex social work, has an easy time collaborating, is flexible, curious, and cares about respectful interaction. You also care about contributing to maintaining a good working environment in an organization where collegial support and communication are important. You are structured and have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. You need to be able to collaborate and work independently. We see it as self-evident that you are responsible and consider quality to be of high importance to ensure the legality of the work you do.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. We would like you to have experience in authority work in the field of children and young people.

Experience with BBIC, Signs of Safety, and Treserva is an advantage.

Welcome with your application!
