About the Job
Are you interested in working as a support assistant in a service housing that is characterized by good collaboration with colleagues and a focus on the needs of the users? Then you have found the right place!
We are looking for support assistants to BMSS Kumleskärsgatan, which is a service housing for people with various disabilities.
In your role as a support assistant, you will work with a variety of tasks, from providing pedagogical support in daily life to being involved in community life and leisure activities. Personal care and support at home, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, will be performed as much as possible together with the tenants. You will work in a motivating way and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's abilities.
You will actively collaborate with the workgroup on social documentation and follow-up regarding these. You will also be part of the work to ensure the quality of our operations. The working hours are scheduled for day/evening, sleeping on call, and three weekends out of six.

About You
We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
The position also requires passing grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.
Experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and knowledge and experience in establishing social documentation, such as implementation plans, is a requirement for the position.
It is an advantage if you have experience with methods such as MI (motivational interviewing), ESL (An Independent Life), LAB (Low Arousal Approach), and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and the group's tasks. You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You are attentive and open to understanding the needs, feelings, and opinions of others. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You communicate information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
