Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a support assistant for Lilla Ingebäcksvägen BmSS!

Lilla Ingebäcksvägen is located in Hisings Kärra, close to good public transport connections.

This is a group home with 6 tenants.

As a support assistant, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues to support the tenants in their home environment and contribute to as good and independent a life as possible. Your work with the tenants includes performing health and medical care interventions by delegation, collaborating in the professional network around the tenant, as well as assisting with cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal hygiene. Together with the workgroup, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. This way, we all become better at understanding needs and providing the right support.

You will work on a schedule, and the working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts as well as every other weekend. Some of your work may occur in other operations. We plan the scheduled time in TimeCare.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 vocational points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is a requirement that you have at least one year of experience working with intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities. You also need to have experience with social documentation. Experience with challenging behavior is required, and it is meritorious to have training in AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication). Additionally, a B driver's license is a requirement.

You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
