Who are we?

Alba-Camp has been operating for youth near Gothenburg since 1981. Our goal has always been to create a safe environment where we focus on and strengthen what works. All work is done in collaboration with the youth we meet, aiming to increase their sense of participation, belonging, and independence.

At Alba-Camp, young people have the opportunity to take responsibility while always having adults available for help and support. Our fundamental approach is to always find individual solutions based on the needs of each young person. The possibility of independent living combined with high adult presence is what makes Alba-Camp a different HVB home. Our approach is characterized by respect, humility, clarity, and curiosity.

In our current facilities, we have been operating for over 10 years, and the treatment work we conduct is entirely unique in HVB contexts. Unique in the sense that the youth do not share staff with other young people as we meet all youth one-on-one, and they live in fully equipped individual apartments. Based on these conditions, we also avoid emotional contagion between the youth, creating a safe and calm foundation for good treatment work. Because the youth do not share their spaces, we have a mix of different issues within the youth group, which requires a flexible approach and broad thinking in treatment work. We work with young people who have neuropsychiatric disabilities, previous substance abuse issues, antisocial behavior problems, and youth who have grown up with care deficiencies. Our youth are between 16 and 23 years old.

All treatment work at Alba-Camp is permeated by the values and treatment philosophy that have a theoretical basis in CBT. The staff is supervised by a licensed psychologist and CBT therapist in process supervision to continuously apply theoretical models in practical work with the youth.

Motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and milieu therapy are used as approaches.

In daily treatment work, Alba-Camp also offers manual-based treatment methods tailored to the individual as needed. Currently, relapse prevention (RP), structured MI conversations based on CBT, ART, and REPULSE are offered.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced youth worker who feels confident working with young people and is comfortable planning, implementing, and following up on treatment work. You should have the ability to see underlying structures in the youth's behaviors early on and conduct treatment based on proven methods. We see that you enjoy being part of a team where everyone gets a voice. We are a small workplace, and it is required that you are flexible and comfortable working in a small organization.

You have an academic degree in social work, psychology, or another degree that the employer considers equivalent. A degree in social work is an advantage. You should also have completed further training in the treatment methods you feel comfortable using. It is advantageous if you have training in the following treatment methods:

• Relapse prevention
• MET (Motivational Enhancement Therapy)
• CRA (Community Reinforcement Approach)
• CBT
• Milieu therapy
• Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT)
• Repulse
• ART (Aggression Replacement Training)

About the job

The position is a permanent full-time position scheduled only at night.

We apply a 6-month probationary period.

The work requires good documentation and analytical skills. You will be part of a team of 6 youth workers. The work can be both mentally and physically demanding at times, and you are required to be a stable person with a private life that allows for recovery.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Upon employment, a background check from the police's suspicion and criminal record will be conducted.
