About the Workplace

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people within LSS? Then the short-term activities in Ale municipality are the right place for you.

The short-term activities are divided into two different workplaces in Nödinge and Älvängen where a team of staff works together to implement short-term stays and short-term supervision within LSS for children and young people.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant in children's activities, you provide support and services based on the individual needs and wishes of the users according to established implementation plans. You perform everyday, planned support interventions and activities together with the user.

The work is based on a salutogenic, pedagogical, and motivating approach. The job includes documentation, administration, and performing self-care interventions. The emphasis will primarily be on pedagogical work to strengthen and develop the individual. We use Time Care Planning and coordinate in children's activities within disabilities.

This means that you may work in more units than the one you are initially introduced to. Working hours are scheduled, including day and evening shifts, weekends, and on-call duties. Escorting and relief may also occur.

Qualifications

You who apply have experience in the disability field and/or pedagogical work with children and young people. At minimum, you should have a nursing assistant education or longer experience in the field. You have also actively worked with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Personal suitability is highly valued.

It is an advantage if you have an education with a pedagogical focus, YH education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is also advantageous if you possess knowledge and experience in psychiatry or experience working with children and young people.

We work in a team around the user and therefore seek someone who has a good ability to collaborate with others to perform tasks and achieve goals, always with the individual in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your work role. You have good pedagogical skills and motivate the individuals you work with. The job requires you to have good professional Swedish to document and communicate information, both verbally and in writing.

A driving license (B) is required.

Language tests will be conducted in connection with recruitment. Interviews will be ongoing during the application period. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
