About the Workplace

Do you want to make a difference for children and youth within LSS? Then the short-term activities in Ale municipality are the right place for you.

The short-term activities are divided between two different workplaces in Nödinge and Älvängen, where a staff team works together to implement short-term stays and short-term supervision within LSS for children and youth.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant in children's activities, you provide support and service according to the individual needs and wishes of the users based on established action plans. You perform everyday, planned support measures and activities together with the user.

The work is based on a salutogenic, pedagogical, and motivating approach. Job responsibilities include documentation, administration, and performing self-care measures. The emphasis will primarily be on pedagogical work to strengthen and develop the individual. We use Time Care Planning and coordinate in children's activities within disabilities.

This means that you may work in more units than the one you are initially introduced to. Working hours are scheduled, during the day and evening, including weekends.

Guidance means supporting a person with a disability to participate in community life, for example, accompanying them to leisure activities, walks, errands, or social activities. The purpose is to create participation, independence, and a meaningful leisure time.

Relief means temporarily taking over care at home so that relatives can have the opportunity to rest, have personal time, or run errands. The support is tailored to the individual's needs and can involve companionship, activation, or support in everyday situations.

Qualifications

You who apply have experience in the field of disabilities and/or pedagogical work with children and youth. At a minimum, you should have training as a nursing assistant or longer experience in the field. You have also actively worked with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Personal suitability is highly valued.

It is advantageous if you have an education with a pedagogical focus, vocational training, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in psychiatry or experience working with children and youth.

Experience in LSS, adapted primary school, NPF diagnoses, and challenging behaviors is also advantageous.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.

Since the activities are aimed at children, you are required to have a valid extract from the police's criminal record.

Language tests will be conducted during the recruitment process.
