About the Job

The Department of Financial Support in Nordost consists of eight units.

The units have their physical workplaces at Förstamajgatan in Kortedala and at Hjällbo Lillgata in Angered. The placement of this position will be at Financial Support 9 on Förstamajgatan in Kortedala. The unit consists of 14 social workers, 2 senior social workers, and a unit manager. We are now looking for a senior social worker as our colleague has moved on to another assignment.

As a senior social worker, you are an important cog in the units' and department's work to develop the processing process, especially since we are also in the midst of digitalization and partial automation of the processing of financial support.

In your work as a senior social worker, you will function as an easily accessible and close support, you will lead and provide methodological guidance in the daily work. Furthermore, you recognize the potential of the caseworkers and have a coaching approach. You participate in the introduction of new employees and play an important role in creating and maintaining a good working environment in the unit. You are responsible for methodological development and keep yourself updated on current research, case law, and legislation in the field.

Your assignment as a senior social worker includes assisting the unit manager in various operational issues such as scheduling, planning, and following up on the employees' and unit's various goals. As a senior social worker, you may also be part of various working groups, both within the Social Administration Nordost and city-wide. Some evening work may occur. Qualifications

We see that you who apply for the position have a degree in social work and several years of experience working as a social worker in financial support. You have very good knowledge of social/administrative law and processing processes. To manage the assignment, you also need to have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and you need to have good IT skills.

If you have experience working as a senior social worker, coordinator, or in another supervisory role, we consider it an advantage.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You stand by the decisions made and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary, understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.

The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equitable and effective welfare with the opportunity to live safe and independent lives.
