System Responsible for Vehicle-Centric Systems

Transdev Sweden

Do you want to work closely with vehicles, technology, and operations – while contributing to safe, efficient, and data-driven public transport? At Transdev, you will have the opportunity to take full responsibility for the systems closest to our vehicles, which are crucial for both operations, monitoring, and future development.

About the Role

As the System Responsible for Vehicle-Centric Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring that Transdev's vehicle-centric IT systems and associated support systems operate in line with the business's requirements and needs. The role encompasses system management, data quality, and the entire data lifecycle – from how data is generated in the vehicles to how it is used as decision support internally and shared with external stakeholders.

You will work closely with the business and in close collaboration with IT, business operations, and external suppliers. An important part of the role is to drive standardization, consolidation, and development of the technical environment, as well as to ensure that vehicle data is accurate, accessible, and usable. The role also has a clear responsibility for coordinating changes, quality assuring installations, and following up on the operation of suppliers' equipment and telematics.

Your tasks include developing business cases, proposing strategic choices, and identifying partners for installation and operation. You will also contribute to Transdev's long-term development by identifying opportunities for automation and AI-based improvements that reduce manual handling, strengthen decision support, and make systems more proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and further develop vehicle-centric systems and associated support systems

  • Ensure that vehicle data is accurate, complete, and accessible according to applicable requirements

  • Collect and analyze needs from the business and translate these into technical requirements

  • Coordinate incidents, errors, and system changes together with the business, IT, suppliers, and central service center

  • Perform root cause analyses related to installation and vehicle-related errors and follow up on actions

  • Quality assure the installation, setup, and operation of suppliers' equipment and telematics

  • Act as a contact person between the business and IT on matters related to vehicle-centric systems

  • Lead the forum for vehicle-centric systems

  • Drive standardization, improvement work, and development of work methods

  • Identify and specify improvements related to automation and AI

  • Develop and follow up on key performance indicators related to data quality and error statistics

  • Develop and maintain documentation, process descriptions, and training materials

  • Contribute to bids where vehicle-centric systems are included

  • Manage hardware from a lifecycle perspective

  • Participate in projects, steering groups, change councils, and preparation forums

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in engineering, IT, system science, or equivalent experience

  • At least five years of experience in system management, technical coordination, or business-related IT support

  • Experience working in complex system environments with multiple suppliers

  • Understanding of vehicle-centric technology such as vehicle computers, tank systems, passenger counting (APC), cameras, and information systems

  • Experience working data-driven with a focus on quality, traceability, and usability

  • Good communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience participating in or leading technical projects

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

What We Offer You
