Engaged Support Assistant LSS

About the Role

About the work – join us in building something new together. Individkraft is opening a new group home according to LSS for target group 2. We are now looking for engaged and secure employees who want to be part of the start and contribute to shaping an operation where quality, respect, and human encounters are at the center.

The work involves providing support to adults with mental disabilities who need structure, continuity, and long-term, relationship-based support. The focus is on creating security in everyday life and conditions for increased independence, participation, and quality of life.

In the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting residents in daily routines, structure, and planning
  • Building relationships and creating security in daily work
  • Providing motivating and practical support based on individual needs
  • Collaborating with relatives, care, and other community actors
  • Documenting according to applicable legislation and the organization's routines
  • Working from a low-arousal and solution-focused approach

Since the operation is new, there is a unique opportunity to influence working methods, routines, and culture and to help build a stable and sustainable operation from the ground up.

About You

We are looking for someone with a high school education in care, preferably with a focus on disabilities, or another education that the employer considers equivalent. An alternative could be a post-secondary education in one of our areas of operation.

You should feel secure in your role and have at least 3 years of experience working with the target group. You should feel comfortable managing challenging behaviors. If you have knowledge in one or more of our activities, such as crafts, wellness, data/media, gaming, art, or music, it is a significant merit.

It is advantageous if you have pedagogical training and training in communication, such as TAKK.

An important part of your work is to maintain social documentation. Therefore, it is necessary that you master Swedish well, both spoken and written. You should feel comfortable working independently and be flexible based on our participants' wishes and needs. You are unpretentious, curious, have a positive attitude, and enjoy collaborating. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can prioritize easily. You need to have the ability to listen and understand other people's situations and possess good empathetic skills. You enjoy working in a structured, quality-conscious, and solution-focused manner based on each participant's individual needs.

You see the value in helping others grow, and you have genuine empathetic and sympathetic abilities, as well as a low-arousal approach when needed.
