Leader in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)

The Life Cycle Management unit at Combitech in Stockholm is in an expansive phase and is now looking for a curious and committed leader who wants to combine management with consulting assignments in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). The role is based in Stockholm and is aimed at those who want to contribute to strengthening Sweden's defense capability while developing business, operations, and people.

Your role as a consulting unit manager

The unit is part of the Speciality Engineering division, where approximately 365 employees work on various ILS-related assignments. We have extensive experience in ILS/IPS/LE/LCM/RAMS work across several industries, including defense, industry, and infrastructure. We work with everything from aircraft and submarines to trains, combat vehicles, and unmanned systems.

The work is characterized by variation, development opportunities, and close collaboration with both colleagues and clients. In your role as a consulting unit manager, you combine management with your own consulting assignments, which gives you a good understanding of the employees' everyday life as well as a natural and close contact with clients and their needs. By participating in assignments yourself, you also have the opportunity to work with project management, analysis, studies, and preparation within the entire ILS area, further broadening your expertise. The managerial role also includes responsibility for business and operational development, resource planning, and personnel issues, including development and salary discussions. The role also offers the opportunity to work with recruitment and influence how the unit grows in the future.

As part of the management team of the results unit, you contribute to the unit's results, strategic direction, and long-term development. Within ILS, we work with a broad spectrum of tasks ranging from ILS and LSA management, operational and maintenance analyses, and design-influencing ILS to initiatives that increase availability, safety, and efficiency in complex systems. We also work with improved maintainability, life cycle cost reduction, modeling and sizing of support solutions, and training initiatives.

The location is Stockholm, and a large part of the work is done on-site.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a university or civil engineer in a relevant technical field, or has equivalent competence through experience. To succeed in the role, we see that you have previous experience leading others, either through a formal managerial role or as a project manager in technically complex environments.

We also prefer that you have experience from defense, defense industry, ILS, RAMS, or related areas. If you have a background in defense or technology, and the right drive and curiosity, you can learn ILS with us.

You are responsible, engaged, and have a natural desire to coach and develop others. You are attentive, create participation, and contribute to a work environment where employees thrive and perform. You enjoy close collaboration with colleagues and see the value in working long-term and proactively.

Previous experience in leadership roles within consulting, service sales, and building and developing teams is advantageous. To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in your communication and able to build long-term relationships with both employees and clients. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, and have good administrative skills.

Since the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with background check.
