Arbets- och miljömedicin Syd (AMM Syd) is a healthcare provider with expertise in how risk factors in the work environment and surrounding environment affect human health. We investigate the relationship between harmful exposure and disease in individual patients. Additionally, we work preventively by conducting education and research. The organization has an analysis laboratory that analyzes substances in the work environment or surrounding environment to determine and assess health-hazardous exposure.
At AMM Syd, staff collaborate across various professional fields such as medical, behavioral science, and natural science specialties. Our points of contact include healthcare, occupational health services, employers, trade unions, and authorities, primarily within the Southern Healthcare Region, which is our catchment area.
The organization's work is carried out both in processes and in projects that span two units, the Health and Prevention Unit (EHP) and the Environmental Analysis and Prevention Unit (EMP). AMM Syd also has a very close collaboration with Lund University, and several of the organization’s employees are active in research.
