About Falu Learning Center

Falu Learning Center is centrally located in Falun, just a stone's throw from Knutpunkten. Here you will find Falu Vux – offering basic adult education and adapted education – as well as the municipality's Guidance Center, where study and career counselors provide support and assistance before and during studies in adult education. Our students come with different goals, backgrounds, and needs, but they have one thing in common: they want to move forward, they want to succeed.

With us, students enrolled in adult education have access to a good learning environment, structure, and support. We work closely with the students who visit Falu Learning Center and offer adaptations, study techniques, planning, follow-up, and assistance in contact with internal and external actors.

You will be part of a competent team with a special educator, study and career counselors, an administrator, and a principal – a team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development are integral parts of everyday life. As a study coach in adult education, you will be an important link between the sections within the Employment and Social Services Administration.

Job Responsibilities

About the Position

In the profession of study coach, you are a key person in the development of our learning center. You will, among other things:

• Welcome new students and provide them with a safe and inspiring start to their studies.
• Support students through motivational conversations and practical adaptations in the learning environment.
• Be responsible for and carry out documentation and follow-ups.
• Maintain contact with external educational providers within authorization and educators within our own organization.
• Work closely with a team of special educators, study and career counselors, an administrator, and a principal.
• Contribute within the Employment and Social Services Administration, including through collaboration and dialogue regarding individuals linked to the employment unit, support unit, and/or integration.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Education and experience working with adults within the NPF spectrum.
• Experience working with adults with special needs.
• Experience collaborating with external actors, authorities such as the employment agency, social insurance agency, region, social services, schools, and educational providers.
• Good IT skills, including digital aids and the Office suite.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Falun. Start date is according to agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
