Study Coach for Adult Education in Borlänge

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a study coach, you are a pedagogical support and a guiding force in students' daily lives. Your tasks will include:

• Supporting students individually and in groups with study techniques, planning, and motivation
• Creating a peaceful study environment and a welcoming atmosphere that promotes throughput and digital participation
• Providing IT support in common tools (e.g., Office suite) and learning platforms
• Conducting short sessions on study techniques/motivation and introductions for new students
• Collaborating closely in a team (23 colleagues) and with teachers/other functions within adult education
• Following up and documenting efforts to ensure quality and continuity
• Working hours during the day/evening and weekends to meet students' needs for flexible times

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position

• Ongoing/completed higher education of at least 180 credits (bachelor's degree) in pedagogy, behavioral science, social work, study and career counseling, or equivalent
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good ability to provide IT guidance and support in digital tools (e.g., Office suite)

Desirable qualifications

• Education/knowledge in motivational interviewing (MI) or similar coaching techniques
• Experience in adult education/adult learning and mentoring
• Experience in conducting group sessions on study techniques/motivation
• Experience in cross-cultural meetings and working in linguistically/culturally diverse environments
• Additional language skills beyond Swedish
