At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are looking for a local security officer at the service unit in Boden.
We offer an environment characterized by meeting people and varied tasks. You will be part of a government-wide resource regarding operational security issues for the Migration Agency's shared administrative premises, detention centers, and also for our collective housing within the geographical region.
The Northern/Western Service Unit is a larger unit with about 19 employees and operations in several locations, where the North consists of Boden, Umeå, Sundsvall, and Härnösand. The West consists of Gothenburg, Mölndal, Vänersborg, and Halmstad. Together with the Migration Agency's Security Department, the service units provide expertise in several security areas.
What does a local security officer do?
As a local security officer, you will have coordination and follow-up responsibility for systematic fire protection work, access protection, physical protection in premises (local protection), CCTV, surveillance and alarm management, risk analyses, security, crisis, and evacuation planning, as well as short and access administration, of course in consultation with the operations and other security officers in the unit and in other service units.
You act as an advisor and provide support to other units within the operations. To be able to contribute to this, monitoring the external environment with networking both within and outside the agency is required. You will also participate as a project member in various projects within the section's area of work.
You have a local ordering responsibility within the security area. Furthermore, you are the unit's contact person towards our suppliers of security systems, locks/alarms/access, surveillance, and fire protection in daily line work.
You contribute to improvement work by conducting analyses and follow-ups in all areas and planning measures together with other security officers in the unit, but also in the national network of security officers at the Migration Agency's service units. You follow up and address any deficiencies based on inspection protocols in our shared premises. You are responsible for managing technical facilities within the security area and for maintaining and developing routines within your area of responsibility.
Who are you?
As a person, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and quickly change your approach to the current situation. You have good collaboration skills and relate to people in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You have an interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. In your role, you consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. You are independent and have the courage to act according to your own convictions. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your approach yourself, driving your processes forward.
You who are applying have:
- Post-secondary education with a focus on security, risk, or crisis management (e.g., Risk Management Academy, Corporate University) combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant
- Good knowledge of existing legislation regarding security protection law, work environment law, etc., acquired through practical experience
- Good communication skills and can express yourself well in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Driver's license B
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in security work within public operations
- Knowledge of security routines in locked environments
- Knowledge of working according to activity-based working methods
- Experience with security technology via Unison
- Experience working in project form with local security
- Experience in systematic fire protection work
