Senior Chief Inspector – Industrial Construction, Luleå (Hybrid)

COMPANY PROFILE:

Beyondo is recruiting for one of Sweden's largest industrial investment projects. Our client is an international industrial company currently building a new, modern production facility in northern Sweden. The project involves extensive new construction in heavy industry, including advanced process equipment, high-tech production lines, and significant infrastructure work.

This multi-year project is part of a larger European initiative for energy and climate-friendly industrial development, focusing on new technology and electrification. The client is investing in new production methods aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing competitiveness for the industry of the future.

To ensure quality, safety, and full compliance with AB 04/ABT 06, we are seeking an experienced and independent senior chief inspector who wants to take a central role in the project's construction and delivery phase.

REGION:

The position is hybrid-based, meaning you can work remotely up to 100%. Travel to Luleå will occur as needed based on the project's requirements and inspection plan.

The project's duration is at least 24 months, and working hours vary flexibly over time — from 25% up to 100% during intensive phases.

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role suits you if you enjoy combining independent work, clear structure, and a high degree of technical responsibility. As a Senior Chief Inspector, you will:

You will, among other things:

• be formally appointed as Chief Inspector according to AB 04 / ABT 06

• plan, coordinate, and conduct inspections according to the project's inspection plan

• ensure that completed work adheres to drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements

• lead inspection activities together with contractors, subordinate inspectors, QA/QC, and project management

• document results through protocols, deficiency lists, and follow-up reports until issues are resolved

• maintain full impartiality and integrity in all assessments

• compile a final report after the inspection phase is completed

PROFILE:

We are looking for someone with professional weight and experience working on complex industrial or construction projects. To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• several years of experience as a Chief Inspector for larger industrial or construction projects in Sweden

• a very good understanding of AB 04 / ABT 06 and Swedish construction law

• relevant certification/authorization to act as Chief Inspector

• a technical background in construction, civil engineering, machinery, electrical, or related engineering fields

• fluent Swedish, good English, and strong communication skills

• the ability to work independently, manage multiple parallel processes, and create structure in complex phases

Experience in the following is also advantageous:

• multi-contracting and large process industries

• commissioning, QA/QC, or quality assurance in industrial environments
