As a standby rescue service personnel (part-time firefighter)

You will join a good community. You will be an important resource for the community and an asset in the safety work at your job. You will be dispatched during various emergency situations such as fires, traffic accidents, and other acute situations where lives may be at risk. You will undergo relevant training that provides you with the right conditions to perform the job.

Your tasks

Work in the emergency response team, participate in training and exercise activities, and perform basic maintenance of equipment and vehicles. You will work alongside other firefighters under stressful conditions, which requires good collaboration skills and social competence. You should be able to work independently and take your own initiatives. The employment involves standby duty every fourth week, during which you must be able to report to the rescue station within 6 minutes when alerted. Training activities occur with approximately 50 hours per year, preferably in the evenings.

Your profile

To become a part-time firefighter with us, you should:

• Be over 18 years old
• Live and work near the fire station, so you can meet the 6-minute response time.
• Have good vision and hearing.
• Pass our work test on the treadmill, medical examination, and the requirements for work-related ECG with a passing result.
• Have a driver's license, at least B, but be prepared to obtain a C license (the fire service covers the cost)
• Be able to swim
• Have a certificate from your main employer stating that you can leave your workplace when alerted during regular working hours.

To thrive in the role, you have collaboration skills, initiative, and flexibility. You are positive, communicative, and work without prestige.
