At Gällivare Rescue Service, you will work as one of five team members in a small organization. We manage a large geographical area, ranging from mines to mountains and vast mountain forests. Most of the municipality's residents live in the Gällivare urban area, where our full-time station is centrally located. In our villages, we have five rescue units that assist us by being first on the scene and providing initial help. We handle approximately 300 alarms per year. We also collaborate with neighboring municipalities and industrial fire brigades in the area. Responsibilities
As a firefighter with us, we want you to engage in our various operational areas based on your interest and suitability. You will work with accident prevention, such as inspections, information, and training; therefore, we want you to be good at communicating with people and building trust. When the alarm sounds, you are one of us who must be able to handle the incident professionally and efficiently as quickly as possible. To do this, we need to train and maintain our vehicles and equipment. We work shifts, including every other weekend. We are looking for someone with the interest, will, and ability to help others. You must be able to show judgment and act calmly, stably, and controlled in stressful situations. The profession requires practical, physical, and social skills. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is important that you have a positive attitude, are a good team player, and can also work independently. Before employment, interviews and work-related and physical tests will be conducted.

Merits
MSB's training SMO (Protection against accidents) or equivalent training.
Driving license category CE.
Language skills in other languages, e.g., Sami, Finnish, Meänkieli.
Medical training for acute care, chainsaw certificate, other relevant vocational training, or experience from previous relevant work.
Professional experience as a firefighter.

Requirements
Started or completed MCF's training SMO (Protection against accidents) or equivalent training.
Smoke diver training according to AFS.
Driving license at least category C.
Passed treadmill test according to AFS 2007:7 (not older than 3 months) must be attached to the application.
Good swimming skills, at least Guldbojen certificate, must be attached to the application.
Ability to work at great heights and no predisposition for claustrophobia.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

- Certificate of swimming skills according to Guldbojen, not older than 1 year.

Start Date: Introductory training weeks 21-23. Thereafter, shift work until the end of August.
