To ensure good quality and legal certainty in this work, the Rescue Service Piteå-Älvsbyn needs to strengthen its resources with a Supervisory Officer. As a Supervisory Officer, you will be part of the entire Rescue Service and will join a team of dedicated employees responsible for the municipality's accident prevention work. We combine broad expertise with a strong drive to create sustainable and well-functioning environments.

The Rescue Service Piteå-Älvsbyn is responsible for rescue service operations in Piteå and Älvsbyn and is part of Räddsam Nord together with 19 municipalities in Norr- and Västerbotten.

Job Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Officer with us, you will work broadly within the organization. You will primarily work with supervision, referral management, and information/advice. There is an opportunity to influence your tasks based on your own interests and experiences, in conjunction with the department's and organization's needs.

Your duties will include planning, conducting, and following up on supervisory visits to businesses and property owners within the municipalities, to ensure that relevant safety requirements are met. The role involves a lot of contact with responsible parties and property owners, which requires professional communication skills and the ability to build trust.

Based on your expertise, additional tasks within accident prevention or accident mitigation work may become relevant.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training as a firefighter GRIB and/or SMO through the Civil Defense Agency (formerly MSB) or a Fire Engineer (BI) with additional training in Rescue Services for Fire Engineers (RUB) or other education/work experience deemed equivalent by the employer. If you have Supervision A or B, it may be an advantage.

We expect you to be able to take on an operational role within the Rescue Service based on your expertise and to be eligible to apply for further training through the Civil Defense Agency (formerly MSB).

A minimum B driver's license is required.

Employment

100% Temporary employment until further notice. Working hours 40 hours a week. Flexible hours.
