Our Operations

At the project office of Akademiska Hospital, you will work closely with knowledgeable colleagues in an environment where your work is significant and contributes concretely to the development of the hospital. Here you will face challenges that truly affect the everyday life of both employees and patients.

Akademiska Hospital has an established management of assignments, projects, and programs. This way, incoming needs are coordinated, enabling an overarching view, prioritization, and follow-up across the hospital. The hospital's management team prioritizes and allocates project management resources to, for example, hospital-wide, or in some cases, administrative or regional assignments, politically prioritized assignments, contributions to the hospital's relocations, goals, and brand, or in response to changes in legislation. A common factor for all assignments is that they require solid teamwork to succeed, and we hope you want to take on the role and responsibility of project manager!

The project office plays a key role at Akademiska Hospital, strategically placed within the management and support function. The unit consists of five project managers, and the assignment consists of three main parts: project management, method support, and portfolio management. We plan our work together and inspire, support, and challenge each other to develop and deliver good results.

Your Assignment

As a project manager at Akademiska Hospital's project office, you will work in the central administration and have close collaboration with the hospital's management, healthcare employees, and your colleagues in the management and support function. Many assignments also involve contacts with union representatives in collaboration forums, politically handled cases, or collaborations with other regional administrations or external parties.

Most of your working hours will be dedicated to project management of hospital-wide projects or assignments within the core operations of the hospital's various areas of activity. Typically, you will manage 2-3 parallel projects, and ongoing documentation is carried out according to the project model PROJEKTiL. Many of our projects have elements of change management, procurement, IT and digitization issues, and changed working methods.

Additionally, you may assist with method support to colleagues, become involved in investigative assignments, or have a role in cross-administrative projects/assignments.

At the office, we work activity-based, and there is the possibility to work remotely to some extent. You adapt to the needs of the business and use working methods on-site, in hybrid form, or digitally.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a person who can quickly step in as a project manager in our operations and the projects that the project office drives.

You have a higher education degree, preferably in economics or engineering, and training in project management. You have experience in independently leading larger projects and are accustomed to managing multiple projects simultaneously. To achieve results, you are driven and goal-oriented, while also having a good ability to be flexible and coordinate your work with your colleagues in the project organizations.

You are skilled in communication and have a pedagogical ability to present and explain depending on who or whom the recipients are. A success factor for a project manager in our organization is the ability to understand complex systems and to identify and solve problems.
