Professional Galaxy is looking for a Tool Designer for Electrical and Cabling on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a tool designer in electrical and cabling for a long-term consulting assignment with our client in Linköping. The assignment is suitable for you who have experience in low current and cabling as well as a strong interest in design and CAD, and who wants to contribute in a technically advanced environment with high quality demands.

About the assignment In the role of tool designer, you will work on the design of electrical tools where Catia V5 is the main tool. The assignment includes both new construction and further development of existing tool documentation. You will produce both 3D models and 2D drawings and work closely with both the design and production departments.

The assignment also includes:

Reviewing electrical tool and design documentation Participating in the handling and disposition of deviations on electrical tools in production Collaborating closely with colleagues in a technically skilled team Our client operates in a technology-heavy and safety-critical business, which places high demands on accuracy, structure, and technical knowledge.

Requirements To be considered for the assignment, we expect you to have:

Experience in low current, cabling construction, or testing of cabling Experience working in larger CAD systems such as Catia, Creo, or Inventor Good ability to read and interpret 2D drawings Post-secondary education as an engineer, designer, or from a vocational school Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, approximately 3–7 years of relevant experience

Meritorious Practical experience with Catia V5 Previous experience from the defense industry
