The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work, or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS LVM-home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues. We have special competence in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with specific care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to contribute to a safer and more legally secure care environment for our clients? Apply for the position of Quality Coordinator! The role of Quality Coordinator is new within SiS, and its purpose is to strengthen the home's ability to conduct proactive, legally secure, and systematic quality work. Your mission will be to contribute to the long-term development of quality in the organization.
Specifically, this means:
- Coordinating and managing the home's systematic quality work so that early signals of deficiencies are captured and translated into improvement work.
- Supporting the home's managers in handling deviations such as Lex Sarah, IVO, and JO cases, and contributing to ensuring legally secure processes are applied in the investigation work.
- Assisting managers in the home's work to implement new governing documents, methods, and working practices.
The role involves working independently but in close collaboration with the home's management team. You will also be part of a network of quality coordinators across all homes of the authority, with opportunities for dialogue and exchange of experiences.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have a strong commitment to quality issues with a focus on our clients' rights. You are analytical, structured, and meticulous with a good ability to drive and maintain processes. You have integrity and a good ability to balance between a supportive and an auditing role. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work independently while being communicative and pedagogical, in order to support managers and employees in developing the home's quality work.
You should also have:
- An academic degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent academic education combined with work experience that we assess as equivalent
- Experience working with systematic quality work in operations regulated by SOSFS 2011:9
- Excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing
- A valid driver's license (B) and access to a car
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Knowledge of administrative law, Lex Sarah, and regulations related to supervision
- Good knowledge of and experience in data collection, documentation, and analysis
At SiS, we value good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
