Our client is a cheerful and lively teenage boy who lives in a separate part of his family's villa in Märsta. He enjoys swinging, going for walks in his wheelchair, jumping on a trampoline with his assistant, and practicing walking in his Innowalk.

The client is in a wheelchair and has a combined visual and hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and mucus problems. We communicate using tactile sign language and spoken Swedish.

The Role and Experience of the Assistant

An interest in learning tactile sign language is a must, but no prior knowledge is required – all training is provided on-site!

You will help enable the client's participation in everyday life, which includes everything from play and training to medical interventions as well as personal hygiene and care. We are looking for someone who is confident, patient, and has a natural curiosity for new activities that motivate the client to learn. You need to be responsible, have good documentation skills, and enjoy collaborating in our cheerful assistant team.

Preferred Experience

• Good Swedish in speech and writing, preferably sign language
• Experience in care and nursing
• Experience working with children
• Experience with sign language/alternative communication
• Experience with epilepsy
• Experience with tube feeding (PEG)
• Experience with mucus problems
• Smoke and perfume-free

Working Hours and Employment Rate

• Employment at 50% with the possibility of extra hours as needed.
• Immediate start, recruitment is ongoing.
• Flexibility in the schedule is available.
