Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher in physical education and health for teaching grades 4-9.

As our school is located in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area, it is particularly important that you have a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities this entails, as well as a strong commitment to the school's compensatory mission, equal education, and students' right to the best possible conditions for learning and development.

You will work in a team with other teachers and teaching assistants. Together with your colleagues, you will actively contribute to the development of the operations. The role also includes being a mentor. To ensure that you, as a newly graduated teacher, get the best possible start in your career, you will be part of the School Administration's Teacher Academy's introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you as a new graduate with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

About the School

At Lövgärdesskolan, you will be challenged in your pedagogical skills and have the opportunity for professional development. We are a grades 4-9 school with approximately 330 students. We strive to continuously develop the operations, always with the students' learning and knowledge development in focus. In our daily work, we have close collaboration with other actors: public, private, and non-profit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher and has a teaching degree to teach physical education and health for grades 4-9. Additional subjects are meritorious. If you have experience of pedagogical work in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area, that is also an advantage.

You are good at inspiring and creating engagement among both your colleagues and students. You see your own role in the work environment and take responsibility for making it as good as possible for everyone.

You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You base your work on the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in meetings. You are motivated by clear goals and are proactive in turning those goals into concrete actions.
