The Cultural School in Tibro offers instruction in instruments, singing, dance, drama/musical, and music play. We are in an exciting phase of development where the focus is on creating more group activities and events during school breaks – all to provide children and youth with a creative and meaningful leisure time.

In autumn 2023, the Tibro Cultural School moved into newly renovated premises at Fågelvik, where we collaborate with the municipality's secondary school, youth center, and public library. The Cultural School is part of Tibro's cultural unit, which also includes libraries, museums, and general culture. Together with the leisure unit, these two entities form Tibro's culture and leisure administration, which works to strengthen the social and cultural capital in Tibro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a woodwind teacher with us at the cultural school, you will primarily work with instrumental instruction, where your personal qualities are of great importance. You will also lead the cultural school's wind orchestra in collaboration with brass and percussion teachers.

Collaboration with the library, youth center, and other activities such as schools is easily accessible and encouraged. You will also have a great opportunity to develop the activities you are responsible for in collaboration with the other eight staff members at the cultural school.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone who has education and experience deemed relevant by the employer, preferably with a focus on music. We also welcome experience in instrumental teaching and leading orchestras/groups/ensembles.
• Experience in pedagogical activities from music, culture, or primary school, as well as knowledge in multiple instrument groups or artistic fields, is an advantage.

In the role of woodwind educator, you should be attentive in your interactions with children and youth and have an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge. As a person, you have good leadership skills and can adapt your communication style as you actively work to meet children and their musical interests.

You are independent in your work and dare to take on challenges and try new things. You are also development-focused and want to conduct activities and projects aimed at reaching out to children and youth in Tibro municipality.

You will also have great opportunities to participate in the development of the cultural school, including activities during school breaks.
