Lekstorpsskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 420 students. The school is beautifully located with direct access to the forest. There are good connections between Lerum Municipality and Gothenburg.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced special education teacher who wants to be part of our journey to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students at Lekstorpsskolan! As a special education teacher with us, you will play a key role in developing and improving students' learning and well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall assignment description

• Actively participate in development groups and EHT. Be a driving force in the systematic quality work to develop and improve the school's operations.
• Work on school development focusing on the development of learning environments, additional adjustments, leadership, and stimulation as well as students with NPF.
• Conduct pedagogical investigations and act as support for educators in establishing additional adjustments and action plans.
• Provide guidance and consultation to staff to support their work with students in need of special support.
• Observations and analyses at group, individual, and organizational levels to identify and address barriers and causes of difficulties in teaching and learning environments.
• Participate in compiling screening results, analysis, and forward-looking planning to ensure that students receive the support they need. Develop working methods and preventive measures within the student care area to promote students' health and well-being.
• Maintain contact with parents and other support functions regarding children/students to ensure a coordinated and effective support effort.
• Convey knowledge to staff regarding children in need of special support to increase their competence and ability to support students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified teacher with special education training or equivalent competence.
• Experience working as a special education teacher in higher grades of primary school.
• Good knowledge of students in need of special support and how to support and develop their learning and well-being.
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective support effort.
• Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly and understandably.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems creatively and effectively.
