The Adapted Primary School in Lerum consists of three units: Adapted Primary School Knappekullaskolan (grades 1-5), Adapted Primary School Centralskolan (grades 1-5), and Adapted Primary School Rydsbergsskolan (grades 6-9). Each school unit is well integrated into its respective school, and there is a conscious effort to ensure that the adapted primary school is visible and involved in the development processes occurring at each school. The Adapted Primary School in Lerum has a well-developed systematic quality work based on scientific principles, where the development of teaching occurs in practical collaboration with an approach of action research. Our prioritized goals at the units are accessible education and a scientific approach. We are facing an exciting project where a brand new K-9 school is being built, and we expect to move in by autumn 2027. Once the school is completed, the adapted primary school in Lerum for grades 1-9 will be consolidated in one school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a creative special education teacher for the adapted primary school in Lerum with a license and qualification to teach in adapted primary school. You should be well acquainted with working in a team alongside other teachers, resource educators, teaching assistants, and student health teams. You should also be driven by a desire to develop teaching for students in need of alternative and complementary communication methods. You will be a mentor for a class of students in lower to middle school. Your position will be in a class with students studying subjects. Your team around the students includes a resource educator, teachers in after-school care, and teaching assistants. You will also have close collaboration with other groups in the adapted primary school and in the primary school. The position is at the adapted primary school Knappekullaskolan.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be a licensed teacher with a license to teach in adapted primary school.
