Skattkistans preschool is located in Sjöbo, Borås, and consists of approximately 100 children divided into five departments - two for younger children and three for older children.

With us, you will have the opportunity to help shape inspiring learning environments with a particular focus on our language development approach. A prioritized area of development is children's language and communication, where we create conditions for children to encounter language in various contexts and forms of expression through play and language-rich environments. We also have a close collaboration with Sjöbo Library to awaken and strengthen children's love for reading.

We are happy to take our language work out into our nearby, nature-rich environment. With proximity to, among other things, Trollstigen in Sjöbo and surrounding forests, we use nature as a natural part of pedagogy, where both play and teaching have space. The preschool's outdoor area has also been renovated and offers a stimulating outdoor environment suitable for both play and planned teaching.

A clear characteristic of Skattkistans preschool is our conscious work with attitudes and responses. We care that children and guardians feel safe with us, something we create through good and trusting relationships.

Skattkistans preschool is also part of a unique collaboration with Borås Zoo. Through this collaboration, we aim to strengthen children's empathy, compassion, and responsibility for both people and animals - values that permeate our operations.

As a preschool teacher with us, you play a central role in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching. Documentation is a natural part of the work and is used as a tool for reflection and development; we use Unikum as a learning platform.

Together with engaged colleagues, you create a safe and stimulating whole where care, development, and learning go hand in hand. We value collegial learning and see your experiences and competencies as an important part of our joint development. Through various forums, you are actively involved in the development work of the organization, where we learn from and with each other to maintain a high quality in education.

In your role, you take a starting point in play-responsive teaching when you plan or spontaneously participate in children's play, an area that we collectively develop in the work teams and that is part of our professional development. Together in the work team, you are responsible for creating learning environments that spark children's curiosity, desire to explore, and joy in learning.

Within the Preschool Administration, we have free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you also have an average of five hours of planning time per week. We also offer a trained mentor if you are new to the profession, as well as opportunities for further education and collegial learning. We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher who wants to help develop an operation where the best interests of the children are always at the center. You are warmly welcome to apply whether you are newly graduated or have several years of experience in the profession.
