Description

We are now looking for a teacher for instruction in the Special Education Group for grades 4-6 at Härlandatjärnskolan.

The position is full-time and permanent.

Härlandatjärnskolan is a newly built school that welcomed students from the autumn term of 2022. The school is two-parallel and will have approximately 560 students from grade F-9 when fully developed. The school is beautifully situated by Härlanda Lake, close to forests and lakes, which we want to utilize in our teaching. The school's location combined with the internal environment, where great effort has been made to design learning environments that provide teachers and students with a fantastic working environment, is unique in many ways. The entire school is shoe-free.

Responsibilities

The focus of the position will be on teaching and the practical work with students who need a context outside the classroom. You will work closely with mentors and teams around the students in the Special Education Group to increase each student's goal achievement. You create a predictable environment and adapt teaching based on each student's needs in dialogue with the mentor. The school is in a development phase, and you will be an important cog in helping students develop the ability to manage a social context.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license for grades 4-6 with broad qualifications and experience in teaching in a Special Education Group. You should have knowledge and previous experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disabilities. You need to have experience leading and developing a Special Education Group as well as experience starting up a Special Education Group.

In the role of teacher in the Special Education Group with us, we are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills to achieve our goals. You are skilled at building good relationships, especially with students, but also with guardians and colleagues. We also see that you promote a respectful working climate and communicate professionally with both students and colleagues and guardians.
