HR Generalist at SiS Youth Home Sundbo

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, receives non-school-age boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse. We are tasked with providing care for young people with special care needs and accept boys who have been sentenced to closed youth care (LSU).

Job Description

Join us on our journey of change! Do you want to work in a key role and contribute to higher quality in our operations? We are now looking for an additional HR Generalist for our organization at Sundbo. The role is an important part of creating conditions for SiS to establish a more equitable and effective working method throughout the organization.

As an HR Generalist, you support the institution's managers and contribute to creating conditions for them to fully perform what they do best, being present leaders. In this role, you will work operationally, independently, and broadly across the entire HR field, which includes; recruitment, systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, competence development, labor law such as terms and agreements, and union negotiations. You will collaborate with various professional groups within the institution, within the authority, but also with actors outside the authority, such as occupational health services. You have experience and knowledge of working in various personnel systems. We work in Primula and Reachmee, to name a few systems.

You will be part of the institution's HR group, which consists of HR Generalist, HR Administrator, staffing planner, and administrative manager. Together, you are responsible for HR issues and work for the entire institution. You are expected in your role as HR Generalist to have knowledge of working methods, processes, and regulations concerning the HR field. You need to stay updated on what applies to the HR field within the state. The role of HR Generalist requires high availability, great accuracy, and a good attitude.

As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo SiS basic training.

Qualifications

To perform the job in the best way, we see the following requirements:

  • Academic degree in HR or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with competency-based recruitment and recruitment within public operations.
  • Experience in providing managerial support in all HR-related issues.

Meritorious:

  • Knowledge of state labor law.
  • Good knowledge of work environment legislation, systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, and experience working with these processes.
  • Good knowledge and current experience in labor law advisory.
  • Experience with IT systems such as BeSched, Primula, WinLas, ReachMee, and Refapp is meritorious.

You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues. Through your working style, you build trust with those you meet based on your profession. You have a strong interest in handling the full breadth of HR issues and the ability to plan, structure, and prioritize tasks. It is also important that you have good pedagogical skills and communicate clearly based on the target group.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time position and starts with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
