Rental Administrator at Västerås City
Västerås City has removed the personal letter from the application process. We do this to achieve a better and fairer recruitment process. When you submit your application, you will be asked to answer a number of questions that will be an important part of our selection work.
With us, you will be part of an organization where social benefit, quality, and service are at the center. The role is varied and combines administrative and financial tasks with many points of contact. You will work independently with clear responsibilities while being part of a team where collaboration is highly valued.
Your Responsibilities
As a rental administrator, you play a central role in the management of the municipality's premises and act as an administrative hub between managers, operations, and tenants. Your main area of responsibility is educational premises, from preschool to adult education. The role also includes operational premises and other special accommodations within, for example, care and support.
You are responsible for ongoing rental administration, including the establishment, registration, and follow-up of rental agreements, rental calculations, as well as invoicing and charging of rents. The work also includes accounts receivable management, account reconciliations, and preparation of materials for follow-up and year-end closing.
The role involves a lot of contact with both internal and external parties. You will meet tenants in many different life situations and also collaborate with social services in the work with social housing and contracts.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone with experience in rental administration and who is comfortable working with administrative tasks within finance. You have worked in property systems with the establishment and registration of rental agreements for both businesses and/or private individuals. It is an advantage if you also have experience with account reconciliations and analyses, knowledge of rental law, and have worked in various property and financial systems. You have completed upper secondary education and preferably also have an academic or post-secondary education in finance. It is natural for you to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
You thrive in collaboration with others and have a responsive approach, which allows you to meet everyone in a respectful manner. You plan and structure your work independently and maintain good quality even during periods of higher workload. Providing solution-oriented service is something that motivates you.
We Offer
The Property Unit is part of the Technical and Property Management and is responsible for the management and development of the municipality's properties in close collaboration with the city's operations. Together, we work to create functional, safe, and suitable premises that support the municipality's core mission. We have a strong collegial collaboration and are proud to contribute to making everyday life work for both operations and residents.
We believe in trust and freedom under responsibility. This means that you plan your workday yourself, have flexible hours, and the opportunity to work remotely part of the time.
Here, you will be part of something bigger! With warmth and respect, we show initiative in both big and small matters. We live our values in our interactions with each other and those we serve. Every day, all year round, we ensure that Västerås functions. Together with your approximately 11,500 colleagues around the city, you will have Sweden's most important job.
