You will be part of the Ground Support Systems area, which develops ground-based support systems for Gripen. The systems are central to both the tactical and technical loop to ensure high availability and operational efficiency!

Your Role

In your job as a software developer, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire development chain. From concept, design, and programming to delivery of the finished product. Based on your skills and wishes as well as the project's needs, your role in the project will be shaped, which means that in some projects you work across the entire chain while other projects require you to specialize in one part of it. The language we primarily use in our daily development work is C#.

The Mission Support System, MSS, consists of a number of applications running on a powerful PC. The system is built on a multimedia platform (audio/video/sensors) with presentation in 2D and 3D maps where the user can create routes, plan communication, sensors, and get support for fuel calculations. Once the planning is complete, the mission is uploaded to the aircraft.

Your Profile

As a person, you are positive, outgoing, driven, results-oriented, and a pronounced team player. A system or technology-oriented education from university/college is desirable, but knowledge acquired through other education and work experience is also interesting.

We are looking for both recent graduates and those with previous work experience in software development projects. A suitable education for the position is a university degree focused on system development/IT.

It is an advantage if you have experience in, for example, open-source development or personal projects in software development. Previous experience in backend, frontend, or full-stack development and C# .Net is also advantageous. Once you are on board with us, you will receive help from your colleagues to get into your new tasks, which we will adapt according to your experience and knowledge.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
