UX Designer

Your Role

As a UX designer with us, you will work closely with architects and developers, as well as product management and UX designers in other products. This means that your daily work will involve everything from minute operational decisions to very long-term strategic choices, so it is important that you can move freely between different levels. Furthermore, you will continuously assess partially abstract requirements with quality attributes such as simplicity, flexibility, stability, maintainability, and reusability. Naturally, there is a constant ongoing contact with stakeholders throughout the project, and often there is an opportunity to quickly get the stakeholder's view on technical solutions.

The role of UX designer with us includes:

• Supporting various stakeholders in projects with UX expertise
• Being the contact person for UX-related aspects for developers in several different development teams
• Collaboration within various UX forums across the area and department
• Maintenance and development of UX guidelines
• Development of methods and processes for UX-related aspects in product development
• Testing usability with representative users

Your Profile

As a person, you are positive, outgoing, driven, results-oriented, and a pronounced team player. A system or technology-oriented education from university/college is desirable, but knowledge gained through other education and work experience is also interesting.

To thrive in the role of UX designer, we believe you have:

• Experience working according to traditional design processes and adapting and developing them according to the business
• Experience working with user studies, analyzing and defining user needs and requirements, concept development, designing solutions and prototypes, and user testing.
• Experience in the construction, implementation, and maintenance of complex technical systems
• Experience with customer contacts
• We also appreciate experience with C++, C#, Java, .Net, and SQL

You are confident in your profession, able to present and explain technical solutions. You enjoy working in teams and collaborating with others. Handling new questions and environments is a natural part of the job, and you choose simple and effective solutions. You are open to trying new technology areas and want to develop both personally and professionally; it is your own curiosity and willingness that set the limits! The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
