We are now looking for an experienced IT-Security Analyst for a qualified consulting assignment with our client in the defense and security industry. The assignment is strategically important and plays a central role in ensuring high quality, robust security solutions, and compliance with high security requirements in complex technical environments.

The role includes advanced security testing, security analysis, and the development of processes and methods that strengthen the client's systems, deliveries, and long-term security capabilities.

As an IT-Security Analyst, you are a key resource in the work of developing, implementing, and following up on security tests and security requirements at the system and software level. You work hands-on with testing methodology, test cases, risk analyses, and security assessments while driving improvements in working methods, processes, and security procedures.

The role involves both independent work and close collaboration with several internal and external stakeholders. You represent the security testing function and ensure that deliveries maintain high technical and security quality.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Working Methods, and Development

• Ensure, document, and further develop working methods within the assignment
• Identify areas for improvement and introduce new methods
• Monitor developments in IT and information security

Assignments, Analysis, and Decisions

• Conduct practical security testing according to established processes and goals
• Create test cases and ensure complete test coverage
• Follow up on deviations, retests, and ensure correct testing methodology
• Provide recommendations regarding test objects and ongoing security measures

Planning and Execution

• Plan activities and estimate timelines to achieve quality and time goals
• Ensure that security design meets requirements from the client and internal guidelines
• Represent the security testing function internally and to the client, as well as lead relevant meetings

Follow-up, Reporting, and Documentation

• Ensure test quality within given frameworks
• Document deviations and report status to relevant parties
• Ensure correct documentation according to applicable routines, templates, and processes

Technology, Systems, and Security

• Conduct technical security assessments and decide on measures for system approval
• Analyze and develop security requirements at the system and software level
• Work with clients, servers, networks, and security functions such as authentication, logging, IDS/IPS, and protection against malware
• Perform recurring system tests, develop test scripts and methods, and maintain test environments
• Lead work on risk identification and risk analysis

Support and Expert Role

• Support in realization and integration
• Provide expert support to clients and customers in IT and information security

Qualifications

Education

• University education in system development, computer science, engineering with an IT/security focus, or equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• At least 8 years of experience in relevant roles
• Very good competence in IT security and relevant standards
• Several years of experience in testing, testing tools, and various testing methodologies
• Experience in IT security in virtualized server environments
• Knowledge of scripting and security configuration of operating systems
• Good understanding of security architecture, requirements analysis, and auditing
• Experience with hardware and software-related security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
• Strong ability to document, analyze, and report
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage changes
• Experience with export control and information security

Certifications

• Documented certification in testing
