Systems Specialist at Norrköping Municipality

Are you technically curious, analytical, and solution-oriented? Are you driven to develop and manage smart system solutions that create value for managers and users in their daily work? Then you could be our new systems specialist!

Who are we?

The HR department belongs to the office of the municipal director and has the overarching task of implementing the municipality's personnel policy. By guiding, supporting, and directing in the HR area, we aim to create good conditions for managers and employees. We work closely with the operations to ensure that Norrköping Municipality is an attractive employer for current and future employees.

The HR department is organized into four units: the competence supply unit, the negotiation unit, the HR unit, and the payroll unit.

Your tasks

As a systems specialist, you have a large and important task. Together with your team, you work to ensure that our payroll system Heroma is user-friendly for all managers and reporters in the municipality. The role involves both operational and strategic tasks.

The core task includes working administratively with payroll runs and payroll tools where the main mission is to deliver correct salaries on time. You work closely with Norrköping Municipality's operations and provide competent support in the payroll system. Furthermore, you work with training initiatives and contribute to improvement and development efforts.

You act as a link between payroll administrators, negotiators, system suppliers, operational staff, and our users. You collaborate closely with other units in the municipality and cooperate with other systems specialists in other municipalities and regions.

You work to manage and develop the payroll system by creating efficient, automated, and improved methods and processes. Writing SQL queries to extract data from the system is also part of the role.

We work in a team-based manner, we have a high ceiling, and support each other in daily work where we focus on service and smart solutions. You contribute ideas, knowledge, and experiences and see improvement opportunities in developing working methods and systems. With our development journey, there is a good opportunity to influence the role and assignment.

Who are you?

You have a post-secondary education in computer science, system development, IT, payroll specialist with a systems focus, or equivalent education or several years of experience deemed equivalent. You have experience in technical work in digital systems, preferably in a larger organization. Experience with payroll systems and knowledge of payroll processes is an advantage.

You have good IT maturity, are technically interested, and are committed to working with and developing systems related to payroll processes and methods.

As a person, you are development-oriented, see opportunities instead of problems, and tackle tasks independently. You have a flexible approach and can easily adapt to new situations and working methods.

Furthermore, you are collaborative and see it as natural to share experiences, knowledge, and information with colleagues. From your role, you understand the importance of collaboration even across boundaries, where you establish and maintain good relationships with other employees and managers in the organization as well as external contacts.

You work customer-focused, identify needs, and ensure to maintain a good and professional dialogue with those you support. You are structured and plan your work based on established goals and have the ability to prioritize and organize tasks based on urgency and importance.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Welcome with your application!
