Technical Support Technician

In this role, you will be a central part of our technical support, handling complex technical issues and working closely with various professional groups within healthcare as well as colleagues and specialists within CMIT to ensure a stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment.

Our Offer

The second line of CMIT is organizationally placed within the Unit for Technical Support and Coordination, which belongs to the User-Centric IT operational area. User-Centric IT is the part of the Center for Medical Technology and IT (CMIT) responsible for ensuring that Region Östergötland's digital workplace functions in practice. We work closely with the daily operations of the organization and are responsible for ensuring that the technology used is reliable, secure, and appropriate.

The operations include both qualified user support and a consolidated responsibility for roles such as IT coordinators and MTIT responsible, focusing on a holistic perspective, coordination, and quality. User-Centric IT is also responsible for CMIT's second line support, where we provide in-depth technical support to other functions within CMIT through advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and close collaboration.

The operations combine daily operational delivery with long-term development work. By actively following changes in technology, information security, regulations, and working methods, we implement improvements that strengthen the quality of the region's IT and medical technology environment. Through analysis, collaboration, and continuous follow-up, we create structure, clear responsibilities, and a common direction for the digital workplace – both today and over time.

Job Description

In the role of technician, your tasks will vary and include, among other things:

  • Handling technical issues via the ticketing system and phone, focusing on operational support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Access and FAQ management to ensure quick, accurate, and quality-assured support for users.
  • Administrative tasks related to IT systems and processes.
  • Frequent contacts and collaboration with users, technicians, and engineers, both within healthcare and CMIT, to resolve technical issues and ensure stable system operation.

About You

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Previous work experience in IT, such as technical support, operations, or user support.
  • Secondary or post-secondary education focused on IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
