Job Responsibilities

At Umgåsen, you primarily work with advice and support for parents and children regarding the visitation that takes place at Umgåsen. During visitation sessions, you work together with colleagues, observing and providing support and guidance to the children and parents during the visitation period. Sometimes you also work with your own visitations. You will also cover for visitations that are with Umgåsen's mobile team. The mobile team works outside of Umgåsen's premises to meet the needs for more practical support for children during visitations.

Information and communication regarding cases are very important in the operation, as well as collaboration with social services. The work also includes keeping records, writing goal reflections, and additional administrative tasks.

At Umgåsen, you have the opportunity for a varied job where you can see relationships between children and parents develop and strengthen. You are offered a job that requires you to be quick-witted and able to act as well as provide support directly in the ongoing visitation.

Working hours as a summer substitute are usually until about 7:00 PM Monday-Thursday, until 6:00 PM on Fridays, and weekends from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Your schedule will also include a fair amount of consecutive days off.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed or is currently pursuing a social work degree where you have at least completed semester 5 (completed with law and practice) or a degree in a comparable field.

If you have previous experience working with children or other social work, it is an advantage.

About the Workplace

Umgåsen is part of the IFO Insats department, and we work with support during visitation. The operation works on behalf of social services, both with children with separated parents and children placed in foster care and their parents.
